In this series of flower paintings the emphasis is capturing light and shadow that is so fleeting. The color and nuances of flowers have always intrigued and fascinated me, and hope that others viewing my oversized petals will find them as breathtaking as I did painting them.
I find with each painting the flowers God created become even more interesting and lovely. I look forward to spring, as many of the flowers grow in my garden, with no help on my part for their beauty, and are painted for the most part in their natural setting.
Luke 12:27: "Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all this glory-his splendor and magnificence was not arrayed like one of these."
